Miyuki Bierlein 

Miyuki is a Bay Area costume designer. She has had the pleasure of costuming CFT’s  The Hundred Flowers Project, Good Goods, INVASION!, and The Secretaries. She has previously worked with San Francisco Playhouse, Impact Theatre, and Custom Made Theatre Company.

Stephanie Buchner 

Stephanie is a lighting designer based in Oakland, CA. Her work has been seen recently in The Great Divide and Precious Little at Shotgun Players, Tenderloin with Cutting Ball, Love/Hate for ODC and San Francisco Opera Center, The Great Divide at Douglas Morrison Theater. For Crowded Fire, Stephanie designed Songs of Dragons Flying To Heaven (Co-production with Asian American Theater) for which she was nominated for Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award. She has designed for many companies in the SF Bay Area including Bay Area Children’s Theatre, Copious Dance Theatre, Brava Theater, Berkeley Playhouse, Marin Theatre Company, Dance Monks, Impact Theatre, Black Box Theatre, Just Theatre, Women’s Will, Shakespeare Santa Cruz and the Berkeley Rep School of Theatre. She recently worked as the Associate Lighting Designer for Red at Berkeley Rep directed by Les Waters. Stephanie is a proud company member of PlayGround and a resident artist of Crowded Fire Theater.

Sonia Fernández 

Sonia is a translator, scholar and dramaturg specializing in new plays. She has worked with various San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego theater companies including Playwrights Foundation, Brava, Cutting Ball, Magic, Moxie, Playwrights Project, PlayGround and Crowded Fire. Recent projects include new play dramaturgy for Science is Close by Kate Ryan and 800th & Intl by Chinaka Hodge at the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, M by Karen Li with Playwrights Project and New Villiage Arts New Play Festival; production dramaturgy for The Dybbuk at UCSD and Or, at Moxie Theater in San Diego.  Upcoming: The Hundred Flowers Project by Christopher Chen with Crowded Fire. A second year PhD student, Sonia’s research focuses on comedy, identity and laughter. Sonia received her A.B. in English from Princeton and Master’s in Theater from San Francisco State.

Emily Greene

Emily Greene

In her three years as a freelance Bay Area designer, Emily Greene has designed over forty Bay Area Productions.  Most recently she designed the set for Titus Andronicus at The California Shakespeare Theatre, and is currently in process for The Tempest there for this coming summer.  Emily has designed four productions with Crowded Fire (DRIP, Forever Never Comes, Songs of the Dragons Flying to Heaven, and Exit Pursued by a Bear.)  In the 2012 season she will be working on GOOD GOODS, and The Hundred Flowers Project. Emily holds an MFA in set and costume design from Ohio University.


Cindy Im

Cindy was most recently seen in Adam Bock’s world premiere adaptation of Phaedra at Shotgun Players and Songs of the Dragons Flying to Heaven at Crowded Fire (co-production with Asian American Theater Company), and will be appearing next inTontlawald at Cutting Ball and Spring Awakening at Center REP. She has worked with other companies such as Just Theatre, Playwright’s Foundation, Diablo Theatre, Willows Theatre, New Conservatory Theatre, Aurora Theatre, and Impact Theatre. She played Doreen in Theatre Dijon Bourgogne’s 11 Septembre 2001, beginning at the REDCAT at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and again in the French national touring company with the Theatre Dijon Bourgogne. Cindy is a recipient of the 2010 Theatre Bay Area TITAN Award and a 2008 Bay Area Critics Circle Award for Best Ensemble. She holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts and a BA in Sociology with a minor in Theatre from the University of California at Berkeley. www.cindyim.com.

Michele Leavy

Michele Leavy

Michele Leavy is a Bay Area native and has performed locally with such companies as the American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Center Repertory Company, California Conservatory Theater, Livermore Shakespeare Festival, Marin Theatre Company, and TheatreWorks, among others. In farther locales, she has appeared with Theatre Key West (Florida), and The Elephant Theatre Company (Los Angeles) and Theatre167 (New York City). As a choreographer, she has collaborated with various companies around the bay and beyond.

Rami Margron

Rami has been seen in Crowded Fire Theatre’s productions of Slow Falling Bird and The Listener, DRIP and Sticky Time (co-production with Vanguardian Productions). Other companies Rami has performed with include Mugwumpin, Magic Theatre, SF Shakes, Cal Shakes, Shotgun Players, Woman’s Will, Willows Theater, Word for Word, Pacific Rep, City Circus, The Pear Ave Theatre, Traveling Lantern, and a hand-full of dance companies. She is also a choreographer, director and teacher. She studied acting at the Bennett Theatre Lab in SF, clown and buffoon in Paris, improv and various circus arts over many years at Camp Winnarainbow, and at least 20 styles of dance in various studios and clubs in the US, Haiti, Cuba, Brazil and Indonesia. She occasionally plays the concertina and has written four short children’s plays. Come take her Rhythm & Motion dance workout class at ODC!

 

Amanda Melton

Amanada has worked as stage manager or production manager on CFT’s Juan Gellion Dances for the Sun, Big Death & Little Death, Anna Bella Eema, Gone, The Listener, and Wreckage. Other stage management credits include work with Primitive Screwheads, Demon 13Z Productions, Into the Breach, foolsFury, Woman’s Will, and Shotgun Players. Amanda also dabbles in film and television and has been responsible for some of CFT’s more successful behind the scenes videos! Amanda also worked on Haiku Tunnel, Heart of the Possible, The Matrix Reloaded, Presidio Med, and Insomniac.

Lawrence Radecker

Lawrence has developed and debuted roles in the Crowded Fire world premieres of Marilee Talkington’s Sticky Time, Enrique Urueta’s Forever Never Comes, Caridad Svich’s Wreckage, Liz Duffy Adam’s The Listener, Mickey Birnbaum’s Big Death & Little Death, and Dominic Orlando’s Juan Gelion Dances for the Sun. Other recent productions include Golden Thread’s world premiere, Night Over Erzinga and the independent film, Table For One. He has also worked with Thick Description, Marin Theatre Company, Brava! For Women in the Arts, Cutting Ball and Uncle Buzzy’s Hometown Theatre Show. He can be seen and heard in a variety of industrials and voiceovers, as well as a couple of television series.


Mina Sohaa Smith

Sohaa has been Stage Managing in the Bay Area for a little over a year. This is her second year with Crowded Fire after completing the 2012 season. She recently finished “The Great Big Also” with Mugwumpin.

 Marilee Talkington

Marilee Talkington

Marilee is an actor, writer, director, video designer and sound experimenter.  She has been a proud member of Crowded Fire since 2009 and is the Founding Artistic Director of Vanguardian Productions. Her original works include:  Sticky Time, TRUCEAttritionWormhole, Oh!, Sugarville: a little deathDaughter of the Floods. She has received a Center of Cultural Innovation Investing in Artists Award, a prestigious MacDowell Fellowship, a Bay Area Theatre Critics Award, a TBA New Works Award, and the A.C.T. Carol Channing Trouper award.   Her Off-Broadway acting credits include John Beluso’s A Nervous SmileThe Middle Ages, Justin Quinn Pelegano’s The Last Day. Regionally she has performed with A.C.T., Theatreworks, Center REP, Magic Theatre, and Crowded Fire Theatre (GoneSecretaries).  Talkington holds her M.F.A. in Acting from A.C.T.  She is also a fierce advocate for artists with disabilities.
